Fill Dirt

Select Fill

This type of fill dirt is a 60/40 mix of clay and gravel and is mainly used to provide stable elevation and a sturdy, durable hold.

Due to the stability that this material provides, it is primarily used for adding long-term stability to a foundation in which the elevation of the plot is lifted higher than it its normal sitting.

This material is tested by a soil engineer to ensure it meets the requirements needed.

Common Fill

This type of dirt varies in its contents and it often contains a mixture of sand, clay, and plant materials. It is extracted from the earth and not man-made which is why its contents may vary.

Due to the variability of this material, it is often used for a majority of construction projects as it meets most foundational requirements. While it is able to create a stable foundation for varying projects, it does not uphold to specific projects that require a more tailored environment.

Concrete Aggregates

Crushed Concrete

Crushed concrete is a building material made from recycled crushed down concrete structures.

This material can be used for landscaping projects such as creating walkways, pathways, driveways, roadways, and patios. It can also be used for drainage projects, retention walls, and can even be mixed with asphalt to be used in paving projects.

This material is permeable and can be cost-effective to your project budget when compared to other materials.

Washout

Washout is a byproduct material from leftover concrete materials. This material is processed and is similar in appearance to crushed concrete, however it is less durable than crushed concrete itself.

This material can be used as a base material for road and driveway projects. It can also be used as a filler in construction projects.

Gravel

This material comes in different sizes. The composition of this material varies however, the most common materials that make up gravel are sandstone, limestone, and basalt. Regardless of the materials that make up the gravel, they all provide similar performance and durability.

The use of this material depends on the size you purchase. Some uses for gravel include projects such as foundations for new roads, to be used in drainage areas, or for landscaping.

Sands

Stabilized Sand

Stabilized sand is a material made up of a mixture of sand, cement, and water. This material is water permeable and it is a very sturdy material that is intended to not shift or move. It also has a minimum processing time with a maximum of 3 hours.

This material can be used for landscaping and construction such as backfilling and bedding.

Bank Sand

Bank sand is a material made up of clay, slit and sand.

This material is primarily used for leveling the ground whether it’s raising elevations or filling low areas. It can also be used to insulate pipes and cables.

Mortar Sand

Mortar sand is a material made of a mix of lime or cement binder and sand.

The primary purpose of this sand is to provide compression strength and reduce compaction.

Due to its purpose, it is primarily used to bind building blocks and other building materials.

Asphalt

Asphalt

Asphalt is a material made up of rocks, sand, gravel, and a petroleum-based binder called bitumen.

This material is used for constructing and maintaining roads, waterproofing roofs, walls, and surfaces, sealing, and insulation.
